GOOD Fall Forum
Smart Cities, AI & Data Governance
Tuesday October 3, 2023
In-person Toronto & Virtual
The 2023 GOOD Annual Forum is focusing on today's critical challenges :
Smart Cities. Digital transformation within government is an ongoing challenge and the need for an integrated approach to providing smart city services and operations could benefit from a more coordinated and collaborative approach among public sector organizations. We need a holistic "system of intelligence" for a refresh of smart city strategy and operations.
AI for Public Good. It's everywhere! Governments are researching and developing policy on how best to integrate AI into their operations. Ethical AI and AI for public good is a challenge that needs appropriate legislation, regulation and policies that protect our personal privacy and yields positive outcomes for our communities.
Data Governance. All of the above does not function without data. And data governance is at the core of effectively managing data as a key corporate asset. Data management best practices including high quality data, enterprise data standards and transparency are paramount to supporting the use of AI and smart cities.
