GOOD Fall Forum
Smart Cities, AI & Data Governance

Tuesday October 3, 2023
In-person Toronto & Virtual

The 2023 GOOD Annual Forum is focusing on today's critical challenges :

  • Smart Cities.  Digital transformation within government is an ongoing challenge and the need for an integrated approach to providing smart city services and operations could benefit from a more coordinated and collaborative approach among public sector organizations. We need a holistic "system of intelligence" for a refresh of smart city strategy and operations.

  • AI for Public Good. It's everywhere!  Governments are researching and developing policy on how best to integrate AI into their operations.  Ethical AI and AI for public good is a challenge that needs appropriate legislation, regulation and policies that protect our personal privacy and yields positive outcomes for our communities.

  • Data Governance. All of the above does not function without data. And data governance is at the core of effectively managing data as a key corporate asset. Data management best practices including high quality data, enterprise data standards and transparency are paramount to supporting the use of AI and smart cities.
